Side effects are part of any medication today. They can be kept

In case of Cyproheptadine the same symptoms or the side effects can

Some common side effects of this drug are the dryness of the mouth,
it may also occur in nose and throat in later stage, drowsiness and
dizziness, nausea, congestion of the chest and severe headache. Some
children if teenaged also undergo some sort of excitement due to
hormonal changes and this drug. Muscle weakness is also a side
effects faced by the patients. Some side effects are very serious
and should not be dealt with easiness such include problems relating
to the urine, vision problems and the nervousness.
Other side effects of this drug include anaphylaxis, anemia, chest
pain, fastening of the heart beat, hysteria, hives, pain in the
stomach, change in blood pressure, vomiting, wheezing, excessive
perspiration and chills. In girls and women it may affect the
menstrual period. Those not started with it may have the possibility
to start it earlier than the expected time.
The drug has side effects of the blood pressure more tentative to
the people of old age. It is a very bad combination of
Cyproheptadine and the antidepressant drug called as the MAQ
inhibitor. Such combinations should be avoided. Drugs lying in this
category are the Nardil and the Parnate.If any patient is suffering
from angle-closure glaucoma than he or she should not take this drug
at all. A peptic ulcer, prostate that is enlarged also proves to be
the bad combination with this drug.
